Recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection of the vulva and vagina caused by Candida that occurs multiple times per year. It causes itching, burning, and discharge and requires evaluation to determine underlying causes such as immunosuppression, antibiotic use, or other predisposing factors.
