Healthcare experiences in Colombia
A discussion about the experience of expats getting different healthcare services such as dental cleanings in Colombia
Hi, who has a personal experience about medical tourism here or elsewhere, who wants to share your personal experience? I have to give a speech about the topic but I want to better understand and listen to real experiences from real people. In-person or video call, whatever you prefer.π I won't use your names etc in the speech

Happy to talk to you. The bottom line is that healthcare in the United States is expensive and the insurance industry is annoying so many people prefer to get healthcare elective or medical necessity in Colombia which has some of the best doctors and facilities at a fraction of the price
true, and I am curious to hear personal experiences of those who have gone through itπ
Well I got a cleaning and whitening aside from a language barrier sometimes. The process is easy and straight forward. Although you are not sure with some if they are giving you a higher price. The thing about health care compared to all other goods there is no way to Universally compare price/ quality /predict the future for after care if needed. All the dental facilities I have visited here are very clean and appear professional. I understand alot of Spanish but it gets a bit scary if you say yes to the wrong thing and a translation app has it faults. So having a doctor that can atleast explain your diagnosis in English is a major plus I would imagine for most travelers.
